Our programs for special needs adults include monthly events and activities like our themed party. When it comes to partying seems like kids have all the fun. But not anymore with our unforgettable and fabulous celebrations! All of our participants get dressed up as something that complements the theme. It's a fun time for all!
There's nothing more gorgeous than enjoying a day at the races, clear blue skies in Southern California with our participants. They enjoy all the excitement as well as seeing the beautiful horses race. And they are so excited by the colorful outfits that the jockeys wear, watching them stay atop of their horses going around and around the track.
It's all so delightful and fun, this Festival of Lights event. It's one of the highlighted events that our program participates for special needs adults thoroughly enjoy. Beautifully decorated canoes, boats, yachts and kayaks sail along the harbor in this Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights annual event.
No matter the age or circumstances, everyone loves visiting Disneyland! This theme park is one of the happiest places on earth. It's a magical place where our participants can explore over 70 attractions including magical parades, castles, world-renowned dining, and other attractions. And of course, all of your favorite characters in Toontown.
Not only is bowling fun, but it is a particularly beneficial sport to people with intellectual disabilities. Regardless of their age or sports abilities. In addition to ensuring physical exercise, participation in bowling also encourages social integration. Plus, due to scoring points, bowling is a competitive sport and everyone wants to win.
Adults with intellectual disabilities find value and comfort in visiting museums. By introducing our participants to museums, we're building a foundation for behavior and learning strategies using cultural and community resources. FFSP believe visiting museums help our participants gain experiences and build knowledge.
Our Snowflake Ball is one of our major annual events held in December at the Proud Bird Restaurant in Los Angeles. Over 200 individuals with developmental disabilities attend this event each year. Our participants have an opportunity to dress in their finest attire, interact with others, and enjoy a formal sit-down meal. They also dance to a live band.
Also hosted at the Proud Bird Restaurant in Los Angeles, our annual Sweetheart Ball is held in February. Almost 300 participants with developmental disabilities come to this extravaganza. Individuals have a chance to get gussied up in formal attire, and connect with others in a festival environment. Formal dining is provided as well as live music.
